Landscaping that fixes the yard, not just the photo
Sod, mulch and pine straw beds, leaf cleanups, rock and gravel installs, and the small hardscape jobs that tidy a yard up.
Most landscaping jobs we do start with someone tired of one thing: a bed that has gone to weeds, a strip where grass will not grow, a yard full of leaves and pine straw after a windy week, or a house they just bought that the last owner gave up on. We fix that one thing properly, and if there is more to do we tell you what and how much.
Sod is the big one. Centipede, St. Augustine or zoysia, chosen for the sun the spot actually gets, laid on ground that has been cleared and graded so it does not hold water, and watered in with instructions you can follow. Beds are the other: cut a clean edge, pull what is dead, mulch or pine straw at a real depth, and plant things that live in Panhandle heat and sandy soil without being babied.
Then the rest: leaf and pine straw cleanups, rock and gravel installs where grass is a losing battle, steel or paver edging so the beds stay where you put them, and the smaller hardscape jobs, a short walkway or a border, that make a yard read as finished. Bigger paver work has its own page under hardscapes.
Every job gets a written price before anything is ordered, and Jake is on site doing the work, not sending someone else. If you are buying a house and want the yard sorted before you move in, that is a job we like.

Landscaping: what people ask first
How do you price a landscaping job?
Per job, in writing, after Jake has seen the yard. Sod is priced by the area and the type of grass; beds by the length and what goes in them; cleanups by how much there is to haul. You get the number before anything is ordered.
Which sod should I use in Pensacola?
Centipede in full sun if you want low maintenance, St. Augustine where there is shade or you want it thick and dark, zoysia if you want a fine lawn and will keep up with it. Jake will look at the sun the spot gets and tell you which will actually live there.
Mulch or pine straw?
Pine straw is cheaper, looks right under pines and oaks, and needs topping up more often. Hardwood mulch lasts longer and holds a clean edge better around a front entry. We will tell you which suits the bed and the budget.
Can you clear a yard that has been let go?
Yes. Overgrown beds, leaf drifts, dead shrubs, a fence line full of vines. We clear it, haul it, and give you a plan for what to do with the space so it does not go back to how it was.
Do you do irrigation?
We install sod and beds and tell you how to water them. We do not install irrigation systems. If your sprinklers need work we will say so and point you to someone who does that.
Can I split the cost of a bigger job?
For larger projects, ask about paying in equal installments through our invoicing. Jake will explain the terms before you commit.
