Lawn Care & Landscaping in Milton, FL
Milton is the county seat of Santa Rosa County and one of the oldest towns in the state, with a downtown on the Blackwater River that is on the National Register.

Around it are the neighborhoods that grew up with Whiting Field: Pea Ridge, Avalon Beach, the streets off Dogwood Drive and Stewart Street, and the acreage lots out toward East Milton. A lot of Milton is military families and retirees who want the yard kept up and not to think about it.
Milton is at the edge of our regular route. It is about thirty minutes and a little over the fifteen miles we normally run weekly lawn care in, so here is the honest version: landscaping, hardscape and pressure washing projects, yes, anywhere in Milton. Weekly or biweekly lawn care, yes when it fits a route we are already running that day. Ask and Jake will tell you straight.
The work that suits Milton best is the project work. The older homes near downtown and along the river have brick walks, chain-link fence lines and fifty-year-old concrete that come up beautifully under a pressure washer. The bigger lots want paver walkways, fire pits and gravel parking areas, and the shaded ones want beds mulched instead of grass that will not grow under pines.
Permits for retaining walls, raised patios and anything in the right of way go through Santa Rosa County Development Services, which is in Milton itself on Caroline Street. Inside the city limits the City of Milton handles it. Water is City of Milton utilities in town and private wells on a lot of the acreage, which changes how a lawn behaves in August.
Milton questions, answered straight
Do you do weekly mowing in Milton?
When it fits. Milton is a little outside the fifteen-mile area we run weekly routes in, so it depends on whether we are already in Pace or Milton that day. Text the address and Jake will say yes or no the same day rather than promise something he cannot keep.
Is a pressure washing job worth the drive to Milton for you?
Yes. A driveway, a house wash and a fence in one visit is a normal-sized job for us and we treat Milton like anywhere else for project work. There is no trip charge.
Can you build a fire pit on my lot in East Milton?
Yes. Paver fire pits with a gravel or paver surround are one of the projects we most enjoy. On a bigger lot we can usually place it away from the house and any pines, which is what the fire code and your insurance want anyway.
The grass under my pines will not grow. What are my options?
Stop fighting it. A pine straw or mulch bed with a clean steel edge looks better than thin grass, costs less to keep than reseeding every spring, and the pines drop their own top-up. We do this a lot on Santa Rosa County lots.
